Lapping is divided into manual lapping and mechanical lapping. When grinding the plane manually, the grinding agent is coated on the grinding plate (tool), and the workpiece is held in the hand for linear reciprocating motion or "8" figure movement. After grinding for a certain time, turn the workpiece 90° ~ 180° to prevent the workpiece from tilting. For the surface of the small plane, square hole, narrow seam and other parts to be researched on the workpiece, it can also be hand-held grinding tool. Flat surfaces on simple parts in large batches can also be ground in a flat grinder. Grinding plane Grinding groove.

When grinding by hand, the surface of the tool should be evenly ground to prolong the service life of the tool. At the same time, the grinding trajectory should be selected reasonably. The motion trajectory of grinding includes straight line, straight line swing, spiral shape, "8" shape and imitation "8" shape, etc. The common characteristic is the plane motion of the machined surface and the tool surface.

The linear grinding motion path can obtain higher accuracy, and is suitable for the grinding of long and narrow surface with steps. Linear swing grinding motion track (left and right swing reciprocating movement), mainly suitable for higher flatness requirements of the square side and arc measuring surface grinding. Spiral grinding motion path, can obtain lower surface roughness and higher flatness, mainly suitable for grinding round or cylindrical workpiece end face. "8" shape and imitation "8" shape grinding movement track, can make the grinding tool wear uniform, suitable for grinding small surface.

Grinding surface:

Description of the grinding plane: The grinding plane is generally carried out after finishing grinding. Flat grinding is done on a very flat grinding plate. Coarse grinding is carried out on a slotted plate, and fine grinding is carried out on a smooth plate. First, the plate or workpiece is coated with appropriate abrasive agent, and then the grinding surface is fitted on the grinding plate. The grinding is carried out in the shape of "8" or spiral shape and linear motion, and the direction of the workpiece is constantly changed until the accuracy requirements are met. When grinding narrow plane, V-shaped iron can be used for grinding, and linear grinding motion trajectory can be adopted. Control the grinding speed and pressure, generally small hard workpiece or coarse grinding can be used for larger pressure, and large workpiece or fine grinding can be used for smaller pressure.
